Concepts and methods of research on multilingualism, migration and cultural transformation

The cluster ‘Concepts and Methods of Research on Multilingualism, Migration and Cultural Transformation’ engages in conceptual, methodological and methodological-theoretical explorations of multilingualism, migration and cultural transformation processes, drawing on perspectives from cultural studies, translation studies, linguistic and subject-didactics. In discussion formats, reading groups and courses, presuppositions of different epistemic cultures’ perceptions and modes of action of multilingualism, migration and cultural transformation phenomena are challenged and methodological convergences and divergences are explored. The cluster thus networks research on spaces, times and actors and develops inter- and transdisciplinary formats of cooperation as well as teaching, lecture and workshop formats for different audiences.
